Hundreds of years ago marriages for the most part where arranged, the intended writing letters to each other getting to know each other if they were many miles apart. Each only disclosing what they wanted the other to know either conciously or subconciously they learned to love or hate the other thru those letter.
Then the big meeting came and voilia some of what they said about themselves was dead on but then some of it was dead wrong, and then the things that omitted...wait this sounds familiar, online dating is excatly the same. Yes now we have pictures but still who knows if it's the person or a google person?
We may be modern but sometimes things do repeat themselves, and getting to know a person thru writing emails is better then a one night stand at a bar.
